Review admission applications

Find, open, and act on incoming student admission applications.

When a family applies to your school, their application lands in one place for staff to review. As a school admin, this is where you find new applications, open one to read everything the family submitted, and decide what to do with it. This guide shows you how.

Before you start

You need access to Admissions. If you don't see Inbounds in the sidebar — or Admissions underneath it — ask a school admin to grant you access. Applications only appear here once families have submitted them.

Step 1: Open Admissions

In the left sidebar, under Overview, click Inbounds to expand it, then click Admissions. This opens the Admissions page, where you manage admissions for your school.

If no one has applied yet, you'll see a message that no applications have been submitted. Otherwise, you'll see the full list.

Step 2: Read the list

Each application is a row. The columns show:

  • Ref — the application's reference code. Hover over it to reveal a copy button, or click the code to open the application.
  • First Name and Last Name — the applicant.
  • Campus — the campus they applied to (or None Selected).
  • Class — the class they're applying into.
  • Status — where the application is in your process.
  • Started At — the date the family began applying.

Find a specific application

Use the search and the Status filter above the list to narrow things down — for example, to show only applications still waiting on a decision.

Step 3: Open an application

Click the Ref code on any row to open that application. At the top you'll see the applicant's name, their reference (with a copy icon next to Ref:), a status badge, and the date they started.

Below that, the full application is laid out section by section — everything the family filled in. Scroll through to review it all. The right-hand column holds three quick-reference cards: the linked student (once one exists), the Admission fee — the amount with a green Paid or amber Unpaid badge, or "No admission fee" if the campus doesn't charge one — and the offer letter.

Go back anytime

Click Back to Admissions at the top left to return to the list.

Step 4: Act on the application

From the open application, the controls sit at the top right:

  • Admit — accepts a submitted application. The family automatically receives the school's offer letter by email.
  • Reject — declines it; the family receives a rejection email.
  • Print — opens your browser's print dialog so you can print or save the application as a PDF.
  • Actions — a menu with Create Ticket, Archive, and Delete.

Admit and Reject apply to applications the family has already submitted — a draft the family is still working on can't be decided yet. Pick Archive to move a finished application out of your active list, or Delete to remove it entirely.

Delete can't be undone

Choosing Delete asks you to confirm, then permanently removes the application and everything attached to it. Archive instead if you only want it out of the way.

Step 5: Act without opening (optional)

You don't always have to open an application first. On the list, click the three-dot menu at the end of a row to reach the same quick actions: Print, Create ticket, Archive, and Delete.

What happens next

  • Archive tidies the application out of your active list.
  • Delete removes it for good, after you confirm.
  • Copying a Ref drops the reference code onto your clipboard, ready to paste into an email or note — handy when you're replying to a family.

Tip

Keep an eye on the Status column so applications don't sit waiting. Filtering by status is the quickest way to see what still needs a decision.
